Good News Archuleta! Burns Fire is under control

As of today we have released the three Hot Shot Crews and all Air support  from the fire.  There will still be Engines staffing the fire until it is 100% out.  Thank you to everyone who helped feed our firefighters and went the extra mile to make sure we safely surpressed the Burns Fire

Burns Fire Update

The fire is 170 acres as of today around 1:00 pm.  Crew's are working hard to keep the fire at bay while taking advantage of the overcast weather.  There is a County dozer that has completed cutting line around 50% of the fire at this time. 

Update on Burns Fire off of County Rd 500

Burns Fire off of County Road 500 is now about 120 acres.  By tomorrow afternoon there will be about 80 fire personnel committed to putting the fire out.  We also have air resources assisting in the effort's.

FIRE OFF OF CR 500

There is a 30 acre fire off of CR 500 .  Smoke is visible from Pagosa Springs.  There are resources on scene and more on the way.
